In 1956, when Australia was celebrating their first Olympics, Macon Midas celebrated the opening of the first Midas service centre in the American state of Georgia. 20 years later, Midas USA opened their first Australian franchise in Launceston.
This was the start of many successful Midas businesses. Today Midas is a household name synonymous with quality.
In 2000 Midas made another bold leap with the sale of its Australian operation.
The change of ownership to Australian hands has meant the beginning of a new era for Midas.
Whilst retaining strong ties with the U.S., new store designs and management is focused towards the customer and the franchisee.
This will ensure that every one of the existing Midas service centres and new franchisees will enjoy the spoils of success for many years to come.
