I need my car to get to work and couldn't get onto the previous mechanics who had supposedly fixed the problem 3 mnths ago (Nov). Sam greeted me pleasantly, and altho they were fully booked up he told me to come in & we'll see what we can do (i think he heard the concern in my voice:) They were brilliant - Adam explained the problem in terms I could understand - the fuel pressure was very high causing my car to stall & stop at the most inconvenient times . The coil pack I had installed by Hertzford St Mechanical Repairs in Nov did not fix the problem and was not necessary. MIDAS i will be back. You guys are amazing. Thank you heaps. Erina Fell

Midas, first thought chain company its going to be pricey and will try and extort you for every little thing. We were only going to go to them as we had openpay.Well that couldnt be further from the truth, Adam and the blokes at Midas Ballarat were awesome to deal with they sourced parts from places where they were the same quality at a cheaper price, there was nothing that was in the too hard basket and went out of their way to accommodate everything we needed. They were extremely competitive with their prices and will be taking our car to Adam and the blokes at Midas Ballarat for all repairs and servicing from now on.

Sam, Adam and the boys at Midas Ballarat are awesome. Fixed my wife's Subaru even though it's an older car. Their attitude when you walk in starts the whole experience with them a pleasure. Recommend these guys to any and all.

Great place and service. Our car broke down, turns out a valve broke, they repaired it free of charge. Good friendly service, reasonable pricing and timely service. Highly recommend!

I went in for spark plugs, and front brake pads but the staff found problems with rear brakes too, as well as unsafe tyres. They fixed these problems quickly and were professional and reasonably priced. They may have saved me from having potentially a very bad accident as I had no idea that the back brakes and the tyres were as bad as they were. I checked the tyre prices online afterwards and saw that Sam had given me a very good deal. He also was kind enough to fix my rear brake light as well, for only the cost of the bulb. I appreciate that because I know that my car has awkwardly placed lights and it's not easy getting at the globes. I would recommend this place highly. Very knowledgeable staff, very warm and friendly, good work ethic, and they seemed to be honest in their dealings with me. Thanks very much. Any further problems and I'll definitely return here.Since I wrote this I had occasion to go back to Midas, and had the good luck to encounter Adam Harrington, one of the very pleasant staff members here. He diagnosed my problem quickly, had it fixed in a flash, and while he was waiting for my part, had the goodness of heart to sort out a check engine light, and outline a quick fix for a broken door mirror that saved me at least $150 dollars on a quote I'd been given elsewhere. Thanks Adam, I appreciate your honesty and your expertise. I wish all mechanics had your work ethic--it would have saved me thousands over the years.All in all, Ballarat people are lucky to have access to honest and professional staff such as the ones I encountered at Midas, Delacombe. I'm sorry that I'll be moving on soon enough, because it means that I'll be stuck having to search for mechanics of a similar calibre in my next destination, and bitter experience tells me that most likely I'll be all out of luck.Thanks Adam, keep up your good work.

Good job mate. I got lowest quote from Midas Ballarat to fix misfiring cylinders in my 7 seater captiva. Prior to that I was planning to get rid of my car and almost started looking second hand Toyota Kluger. I don't feel any need to buy new car now as this one is firing all cylinders and running much smoother. Hurrraaay........

Got a Holden Astra Ts 2001 a car all mechanics know very well, I’ve driven from Sydney down to my home town Ballarat for a visit, car started playing up yesterday so I took it in today, the bloke walks out with me to my car hooks his little digital code reader device to my car straight away knew the problem, reset the codes for me and off I went.Issue probably isn’t resolved yet but I know where I’ll be taking my car to be fixed friendly staff too!Thankyou Sam and staff I’ll be seeing you soon :)

Amazing service! Got the car back clean and smelling great, they ran me back home when I dropped the car off and brought it back to my home when they had finished. Had portable credit card facilities that they brought with them. Was so easy and really great!!

Very happy with the service here of my car! I have had some bad experiences with other mechanics and people who have ripped me off so I am always a bit cautious of mechanics. I was very surprised and happy when I found this place. They were very friendly, honest and very affordable. Best experience from a mechanic that I have had for a long time! Great job guys, keep it up, I will definitely recommend them :)
