October 2020 - One of Australia’s best known and trusted names in automotive servicing and repairs has opened a new chapter in its almost five decade history with the opening of the group’s first Midas Tyre and Auto Centre located in suburban Brisbane.

Midas Newmarket Tyre and Auto brings the same attention to friendly customer service and technical professionalism that has made the 87 store strong Midas group a preferred auto servicing and repair destination for Australian motorists. The only difference will be these stores’ focus on providing excellent value tyres and related tyre and wheel services across all brands and applications.

Located at 73 Enoggera Road, Newmarket, Australia’s inaugural Midas Tyre and Auto Centre has been completely purpose designed to cater for all manner of tyre replacements to cover passenger cars, four wheel drives, light commercial vehicles and trucks.

Experienced Team

Owned and operated by well known local automotive specialist Ben Neighbour, the first Midas Tyre and Auto Centre represents the next major step in a stellar 16 year career with Midas. Ben has built his long career by building strong customer relationships across a number of executive management positions, along with becoming the owner of two Midas stores located in the Brisbane suburbs of Ashgrove and Albion.

Ben has been intrinsically involved with Midas since becoming a Mazda factory trained fully qualified mechanic back in 2004. Joining the company as an Assistant Manager, Ben progressed to become a Midas Area Manager before taking on the reigns as State Manager of both Queensland and South Australia.Ben became a Midas franchisee when he acquired the Ashgrove store in 2011, followed by the Albion store four years later. Both Midas stores continue to operate successfully under Ben’s management and supervision.

Opening Australia’s first Midas Tyre and Auto Centre is an exciting step for this local family business. “This is an exciting opportunity to expand the Midas brand into the tyre replacement and wheel servicing space and having been involved with Midas over the past two decades, it is a privilege to open the first Midas Tyre and Auto Store in Australia,” Ben stated.

“We have completely re-designed and equipped this workshop to handle all manner of tyre replacements for cars, SUV’s , 4WD’s and commercial vehicles and we look forward to offering the same level of dedicated service, advice and value pricing that Midas is famous for with tyre replacements, along with all automotive servicing and repairs,” He added.

The new Midas Tyre and Auto store located on the easily accessible Enoggera Road in Newmarket features the latest specification tyre replacement and wheel alignment equipment technology to ensure prompt, professional and timely tyre replacements for all customers.
